Owing to the very poor condition of the surviving text, the specific subject of the so-called [History of the Pythagorean School] (PHerc. 1508) is difficult to be ascertained. Terms such as hiatros, ‘physician’,and physis, ‘nature’, and proper names like Polymnastos and Euryphon have made scholars think about a possible Pythagorean medical milieu or something like a history of (Pythagorean) medicine.
