[History of the Eleatic and the Atomistic Schools]

The so-called [History of the Eleatic and the Atomistic Schools] (PHerc. 327), though being badly preserved, offers some valuable information about Xenophanes, Democritus, some Silloi (by Xenophanes himself or perhaps by Timon) and one historical figure. Besides, the sphericity of either the world or, more probably, god is discussed, along with piety (or impiety) and the divine. Finally, the author describes the burial and the erection of a statue in honour of a certain fellow (most probably a philosopher) who has historically been identified as Democritus.
